The Air New Zealand Airpoints membership base had a huge inventory of inactive points and the airline wanted to challenge members to use their points to fulfil a Christmas wish.

In conjunction with the 'Make-a-Wish' Foundation, Air New Zealand invited members to donate Airpoints to sending a seriously ill child to Los Angeles for a once in a lifetime experience.

Engage program members.

Our team designed, developed and launched an email campaign to encourage members to donate points.

We segmented the membership based on their points balance so we could suggest different contribution targets. We also embedded a mini-form in the email so that each member could record their donation as soon as they made their decision.

Success.

Air New Zealand's target number of Airpoints was achieved within 15 minutes of the email going out!

By the end of the campaign, millions of inactive points had been donated and nearly 10 times the target was reached. Not just one, but a number of children had their wish granted.
